Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky's 4th district since 2012, has recently expressed his views on several legislative issues through social media posts. Born in Huntington, West Virginia, in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison, Massie holds a BS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His tweets address concerns about legislative decisions and regulations affecting various aspects of governance.

On March 3, 2025, Massie criticized Speaker Johnson for allegedly planning to backtrack on an agreed-upon automatic budget cut. He stated: "And I hear @SpeakerJohnson plans to renege on the automatic 1% cut in the event of a CR that goes past April 30th. (The deal that was codified in the FRA)".

Later that day, Massie commented on firearm regulations: "We have many stupid laws in this country but one of the stupidest laws is the one that heavily regulates sound reduction devices for firearms, also know as suppressors." He noted that these devices are not regulated in countries like New Zealand and South Africa.

On March 4, 2025, Massie announced his opposition to a continuing resolution funding government operations at previous year's levels. He tweeted: "I’ll vote against a clean CR that funds everything in 2025 at 2024 levels because: @SpeakerJohnson isn’t following the provision in law that would have cut everything by 1% if the CR extended past April."
