Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky's 4th district since 2012, recently expressed his views on the continuing resolution (CR) in a series of tweets. Massie, who has been vocal about his stance on government spending and fiscal policies, shared his predictions and criticisms regarding the CR.

On March 10, 2025, Massie tweeted about his intention to vote against the CR. He stated, "Unless I get a lobotomy Monday that causes me to forget what I’ve witnessed the past 12 years, I’ll be a NO on the CR this week." He criticized both his colleagues and the public for believing in what he termed as "the lie that we will fight another day."

Later that day, Massie reiterated his prediction about the CR being a bipartisan agreement. He wrote, "I predicted this (see below). The CR is a UNIPARTY deal. It doesn’t fund the wall. It does fund USAID." He noted that Democrats had already agreed to provide enough votes to pass the CR before departing for a retreat.

In another tweet posted shortly after, Massie questioned the recurring arguments made for passing CRs at different times throughout recent years. He remarked, "The argument for CR in September 2024 was to fight in December 2024 after the election." His post reflected skepticism towards these justifications and implied an ongoing cycle of delays.
