The Kenyon College's women's swimming and diving team produced a North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honoree for the second straight week, with Jennah Fadely being featured for her efforts in the Owls' last regular-season dual.
Despite the Owls falling 169-130 against NCAA Division I Miami (OH) University, Fadely produced the dual's highlight when she swam a leg on the winning 200-yard medley relay team. The quartet set a new pool record after clocking a 1:39.92, which also went down as the second-fastest time in NCAA Division III this season.
The sophomore was not done setting records as she proceeded to sweep the breaststroke races. Fadely won the 100-yard iteration with a time of 1:00.36, which was not only a pool record but also a Kenyon varsity record and the top time in NCAA Division III this season. The Siler City, North Carolina, native won the 200 in a career-best time of 2:14.34, which sat as this season's second-best time in NCAA Division III.
After finishing the regular season with a 7-2 record in dual meets, the Kenyon women turn their attention toward the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship. The four-day meet begins Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Denison University, and the Owls are looking to defend their title after winning last season's conference championship.
