Bowling Green State University will begin its 107th season of Falcon Football on Thursday, August 27, with a home game against Lafayette at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The event will be broadcast on ESPN+ and can also be heard on the Falcon Radio Network or online through "The Varsity Network" app from Learfield Sports. The game’s sponsor is Fremont Federal Credit Union.

Fans are encouraged to download digital tickets and parking passes ahead of time. Information about ticketing, parking maps, stadium seating, and prohibited items is available online.

Several activities are planned before the game. Falcon Tailgate Park opens at 3 p.m., with gates opening at various times leading up to kickoff. Pre-game events include the BG Warrior Walk at 3:50 p.m., PreFlight with the Falcon Marching Band at 4:45 p.m., and a pregame show by the band beginning twenty minutes before kickoff.

Former BGSU head coach Urban Meyer will be recognized during the second timeout of the first quarter for his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame as part of a National Football Foundation Campus Salute.

BGSU students have several incentives for attending. The first 1,500 students entering will receive a free replica Eddie George No. 27 jersey provided by BGSU Student Engagement. A new student tailgate area called Ziggy Zone will offer free food courtesy of President Rogers.

A 50/50 raffle benefiting both the Ziggy Collective and Bowling Green Youth Baseball will take place during athletic events. Proceeds allocated to the Ziggy Collective support NIL opportunities for female student-athletes at BGSU.

Student parking is available free of charge in designated lots east of the stadium, with overflow options in other lots for $10 each upon showing student ID.

Concession stands inside Doyt Perry Stadium will offer standard fare including hot dogs, brats, burgers, popcorn, pizza, coffee, beverages from Coca-Cola and Miller-Coors products among others.

Falcon Club members who contribute annually at least $250 can purchase access to the Sebo Party Deck which offers reserved seating and tailgate-style food in a climate-controlled environment with large projection screens showing the game inside.

The Falcon Football Tailgate Park opens three hours before every home game south of the stadium and features community games and activities throughout its area.

Memberships for children in grades K-6 are now available through Future Falcon Kids Club via the Falcon Club for $40 per year; benefits include free admission to all home athletic events and invitations to special events.

Digital versions of official BGSU football game day programs are accessible by scanning QR codes posted at stadium entrances. Lost-and-found services are provided via a marketing tent located in the south end zone; after games lost items may be retrieved from administrative offices or by calling campus contacts listed in official materials.

Merchandise tents near Gate 2 open two hours prior to kickoff offering Nike sideline gear as well as women's and youth apparel alongside gifts branded with BGSU logos; additional kiosks operate on match days until halftime along concourses and within tailgating areas.

General public ticket purchases can be made using cash or major credit cards at booths opening two hours before kickoff outside Gate 7 on Wooster Street; digital ticketing allows fans flexibility including transferring unused tickets or printing them from home if necessary (https://bgsufalcons.com/sports/2019/6/11/buy-tickets.aspx).

RV parking is charged separately ($50 per day) regardless of arrival time; designated RV lots are marked near Stroh Center with overflow directed to Lot 24 ($10 fee).

Customer service representatives wearing yellow vests will circulate throughout Doyt Perry Stadium during events to assist guests as needed while police officers provide security coverage across all areas within facility grounds.

Directions to Doyt Perry Stadium are provided from multiple highways including I-75 (exit 181), S.R. 25 (via Wooster Street), Ohio Turnpike (exit 64/Perrysburg then I-75 South), or U.S. Route 6 (exit onto S.R.25/Main Street then east on Wooster). On-site signage directs traffic accordingly upon approach routes described above (https://bgsufalcons.com/sports/2019/5/16/directions-to-bgsu-athletics-facilities.aspx).

In case of lightning or severe weather conditions affecting gameplay safety protocols require immediate evacuation when strikes occur within ten miles; primary safe zones include restrooms under grandstands or Sebo Center north end while secondary shelter locations encompass Stroh Center/Ice Arena/hardtop vehicles only—not open areas under stands nor soft-top cars—with delays lasting no less than thirty minutes following each strike reset interval (https://bgsufalcons.com/documents/2022/8/18/BG_Football_Lightning_Policy.pdf).

Specific policies prohibit pepper spray cans inside Doyt L. Perry Stadium; attendees must check such items at ticket windows where they remain secured until retrieval either during halftime or after games from Sebo Center’s administrative office depending on collection timing requirements outlined by staffers present during operational hours.

Additional notes indicate that Bowling Green State University maintains smoke-free status within all campus facilities—including sports venues—while encouraging recycling initiatives through “Green Game Day” partnerships between Campus Sustainability teams and Athletics departments promoting waste reduction practices such as use of green bags/tailgate containers plus clearly labeled recycling bins throughout premises.
