The College of Wooster women's track & field team captured all three North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week awards on Monday, with junior Mary Sirois honored for sprints and hurdles events, junior Athena Tharenos selected for distance and middle-distance events, and junior Ainsley Wiesner chosen for field events.

Sirois logged times of 15.79 in the 100-meter hurdles and 1:14.17 in the 400-meter hurdles at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Sirois' 100 hurdles time ranked sixth at the meet and is inside the top-30 nationally this spring.

Tharenos collects her fifth NCAC Athlete of the Week award after a top-20 time nationally in the 800 meters (2:22.38) at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Tharenos placed sixth in the seeded event, then helped the Fighting Scots claim eighth-place in the 4x400 relay (4:12.05).

Wiesner broke the program's school record in the hammer throw at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. Wiesner, who continuously broke the program's weight throw record during indoor season, reached 136 feet, 2 inches in the hammer throw last week. She also had a collegiate-best in the discus at 97 feet, 10 inches.

Wooster returns to action at the Bob Kahn Invitational, held March 31 and April 1 at Oberlin College.
