The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team is set to play against Eastern Michigan University on Tuesday, February 25. The game will take place at the George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan, with a tip-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The match is significant for both teams as it could impact their standings in the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The event will be broadcasted on ESPN+, and Todd Walker will provide a radio commentary on WFRO Eagle 99.

This meeting marks the 103rd encounter between Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan, with Bowling Green leading the all-time series at 57-45. However, Eastern Michigan has won the last two games and maintains a slight edge when playing at home with a record of 24-22. The game promises to showcase three of the MAC's top four scorers: Jalen Terry and Da'Sean Nelson from EMU, along with Marcus Johnson from BGSU.

A victory for Bowling Green would result in splitting the season series with Eastern Michigan and securing three consecutive road wins for the first time this season. It would also improve their road record against MAC opponents to 4-4 and ensure back-to-back conference wins.

Wilguens Jr. Exacte has been instrumental off the bench for Bowling Green recently, averaging nine rebounds per game over the last three contests. Meanwhile, Eastern Michigan comes into this matchup on a three-game winning streak after defeating Toledo, Miami (OH), and Northern Illinois.

Marcus Johnson of BGSU is currently riding a streak of making 30 consecutive free throws since his last miss against EMU earlier this year. Javontae Campbell is closing in on breaking records with his defensive prowess; he currently holds 77 steals this season.

In recent games, Bowling Green has seen multiple players achieving high-scoring performances, notably Javontae Campbell who averaged over 23 points per game across three matches.

As both teams are vying for positions in the upcoming MAC Tournament, this game carries additional weight given that slots six through ten are tightly contested in the standings.
