Bowling Green State University quarterback Drew Pyne has been nominated for the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. This honor recognizes student-athletes for their dedication to community service, academic excellence, and impact on and off the field.

Pyne is entering his first season at Bowling Green after stints at Notre Dame, Arizona State, and Missouri. At Notre Dame, he played in 17 games from 2020 to 2022 and started in 10 during the 2022 season. He led the team to an 8-2 record as a starter, finishing that season ranked No. 20 nationally in quarterback efficiency. Notably, Pyne achieved a .884 completion percentage against USC in one game.

In 2023, Pyne transferred to Arizona State but suffered a season-ending injury after two games. During his time there, he completed a career-long pass of 52 yards against USC. In 2024 at Missouri, he appeared in six games with one start against Oklahoma.

Beyond football, Pyne volunteered with organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and Cultivate Food Rescue while at Notre Dame. His work involved mentoring youth and preparing meals for underserved families.

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team selects nominees who are actively involved in charitable organizations or service groups while maintaining strong academics. The final team will consist of players from various divisions along with an honorary head coach.
