On July 9th, Addison Kartusch from the Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Women's Golf team claimed victory at the Manitoba Girls Junior Championship. The event was sponsored by the Alex and Peggy Colonello Foundation and took place at Quarry Oaks Golf Course in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Kartusch, who hails from Winnipeg, shot a total of 216 over three days of stroke play. Her performance peaked on the final day with a round of 68, finishing even par.

Entering her sophomore year at Bowling Green, Kartusch has shown promise with an average score of 76.64 across 14 rounds during her first year. Notably, she recorded a season-low score of 71 at the MAC Championships, contributing to the Falcons' best-ever second-place finish in program history.

As a result of this win, Kartusch will represent Manitoba at the Canadian Junior Girls Championship scheduled for August 13-16 in Sainte-Marie, Quebec.
