On June 20th, Clare Yeazell, a sophomore from the Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Women's Golf team, emerged victorious at the Greater Cincinnati Golf Association 2025 Metropolitan Women's Amateur Championship. The event took place at Clovernook Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Yeazell started the tournament with a score of 74 in the first round. She improved her performance on Thursday by shooting a 68, which propelled her to the top position going into Friday's final round. In the concluding round, she scored a 73, finishing with an overall score of 215 and winning by two strokes.

Originally from West Chester, Ohio, Yeazell had a notable freshman year with the Falcons. She participated in eight tournaments and recorded her best score of 73 at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational hosted by Central Michigan University.

This victory is part of a successful summer for BGSU Women's Golf. Fellow sophomores Macie Elzinga and Addison Kartusch have also achieved wins in their respective regions.
