Thomas Massie, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky's 4th district, shared several statements on social media regarding governmental actions and policies. Massie has been in office since 2012, succeeding Geoff Davis. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and resides in Garrison.

On February 14, 2025, Thomas Massie criticized the Treasury Department for what he described as "unmitigated malfeasance and incompetence" after stimulus checks intended for Americans were sent to foreigners. He questioned whether this was an innocent mistake or something done hastily but concluded that it was a significant oversight that persisted even after he raised concerns. "Was it an innocent mistake or something imprecise that had to be done in haste? No, it was unmitigated malfeasance and incompetence that continued even after I blew the whistle. Treasury went on to send the foreigners the $600 and $1400 stimulus checks intended for Americans."

Later that day, Massie expressed approval of an unspecified action by stating simply: "excellent move" on February 14, 2025.

In another post dated February 15, 2025, Massie called upon Congress and Elon Musk's company Dogecoin to eliminate grants aimed at addressing misinformation-related issues. He labeled terms like "misinformation," "disinformation," and "malinformation" as Orwellian tools used by governments for censorship. According to him, public funds should not support efforts that infringe upon free speech rights. "Congress and @doge should obliterate grants that claim to combat 'mis-,' 'dis-,' or 'malinformation.' These Orwellian terms identify government censorship."
